Fleabag is the story of a young woman challenging her own mental health and choosing to better herself for the sake of her growth. A bittersweet ending between the priest and Fleabag—an ending where he chooses his oath over forsaking it to follow his love for the protagonist—allows her to leave the camera and audience in the distance as she walks towards a now healthier and more self-aware, unknown future.3 The powerful stage-to-screen story is accessible through Amazon and an important marker for the future of popular television.
