Proficient Construction, based out of Lake Elmo, MN, needed a social media contractor to build up awareness of their brand and promote their services during their busy season (June-October). Below is the content calendar we created and updated weekly with content needs, deliverables from the team, and PR work to be done on the side.
Our work began when the CEO, Rachel Narveson, was nominated for CXO’s Roofing Professional of the Year 2025 and needed help getting the word out about voting. She contacted me and we got to work, posting and emailing every journalist in Minnesota, all midwest-based roofing publications, and their client list to get the voting started. In 14 days, I generated enough buzz around the award that Rachel scored the votes to secure the award across all of North America.
The award created enough PR opportunities for Rachel to promote the business several times throughout our contract. This was a huge accomplishment and a great reflection of a team working together under a passionate and directional founder.
At the end of our contract, we parted ways so they could hire internally with the hopes of working together again in the future.
